Course Description
This course is designed to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge to proficiently undertake rigging work. It encompasses all the competencies required for rigging work at the basic and intermediate levels. Additionally, it covers advanced rigging tasks such as rigging of gin poles and shear legs, handling flying foxes and cable ways, managing guyed derricks and structures, and overseeing suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds, all with the aim of obtaining the necessary license.
Course Outcomes
Execute the following sequence for advanced rigging activities:
1. Plan the task.
2. Select and meticulously inspect the equipment.
3. Set up the task with precision.
4. Undertake the advanced rigging activities.
5. Successfully complete the task.
