FHV Driver Training Cancellation & Refund Policy
Student Communication
Students will be informed of the cancellation and refund policy prior to enrolling in a course. This policy will be communicated through the Student Information Handbook and the Refund and Cancellation Procedure.
Course Cancellations
Every effort will be made to avoid cancelling courses. However, FHV Driver Training may cancel or postpone a course under the following circumstances:
• Insufficient enrolments to run a class.
• Unsafe weather conditions that impact the training environment.
• Unavailability of FHV Driver Training instructors due to unforeseen reasons.
• Training facility becomes unavailable for any reason.
In the event of cancellation or postponement, students will be notified promptly and will have the option of a full refund or transferring their fees to a rescheduled course.
Course Disruptions
If a course is disrupted after it has begun, arrangements will be made to allow students to complete their training at a later date. If rescheduling is not possible, a partial refund may be offered, depending on the extent of the disruption.
Disruptions may occur due to:
• Unsafe weather conditions.
• Equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
• The training venue becomes unavailable.
• Any other incidents leading to the cessation of training.
If training is conducted at a third-party or employer venue, disruptions may also occur for similar reasons. Course completion is mandatory for certification, and no full refunds will be given for disruptions that can be rescheduled.
Student Refunds
Students who wish to cancel their enrolment are entitled to refunds based on the following timeframes:
• 48Hours or more notice: Full refund, minus a $100 administration fee.
• Less than 48Hours notice: No refund; course fees must be paid in full.
Students should carefully consider their commitments before enrolling to avoid cancellation. If a student is deemed “Not Yet Competent,” no refunds will be given.
Required pre-requisites must be provided before course commencement. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of all fees paid.
All refund requests must be made in writing using the Refund Request Form and must include relevant documentation. Refunds will be processed within 7 business days via direct deposit.
Refunds for Organisations/Employers
Employers cancelling course enrolments will be entitled to refunds based on the following:
• 48Hours or more notice: Full refund, minus a $100 administration fee.
• Less than 48Hours notice: No refund; course fees must be paid in full.
Employers may substitute another eligible person if the originally enrolled student is unable to attend. Substitution must be communicated at least 1 business day before the course begins. Pre-requisites for substitutes must be supplied prior to course commencement.
Refunds for organisations will be processed within 7 business days via direct deposit to the nominated account.
Course Withdrawals and Transfers
• If a student withdraws partway through a course, no refund will be provided.
• In cases of extenuating circumstances, FHV Driver Training may allow the student to return within 60 days to complete the training. Scheduling will be subject to availability, and priority will be given to current enrolments.
• Transfers to another course date can be made up to 5 days before the course begins.
• Transfers after a course has started will only be allowed within 60 days of the original enrolment, subject to approval. After 60 days, all fees will be forfeited.
